"Thou art a fountain of gardens, a well of living waters and flowing streams…"
The beauty of both letter and word, and the poetry of love are celebrated in the Ani LeDodi ( I am my Beloved’s) Ketubah. The art work is an exquisite tour de force in its rendering of Song of Songs 4, a poem that expresses a groom’s adoration for his bride.
The soft pastels and vivid shades of blues of the background enhance the paper cut with eloquent precision: animating this visual manifestation of the joy felt by the newly-wedded couple standing under the chuppah.
Above the text is written in Hebrew "Ani LeDodi v'Dodi Li", I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine. Also featured is a menorah (with seven candles) inside the box above the text.
