This gorgeous woven tallit features a panorama of the Old City of Jerusalem in its entire splendor. Depicted in gold, this truly special tallit set is embroidered completely by hand to inspire meaning.
The Tallit is made of woven cotton, adorned with hand embroidered Atara (yoke), stripes and corners. The motifs are chain-stitched hand-embroidered on raw cotton using gold silk threads to create a beautiful design. A matching bag and kippah are included with the tallit.
Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem. Emanuel's style of Judaic art is based upon a fusion of traditional motifs and ancient Jewish manuscripts with modern and oriental art. Vivid and harmonious colors as well as a mixture of the Old and the New characterize Emanuel's work, which is designed and crafted in his Jerusalem studio.
